Meet Pastor Josh

Jennings Family

Josh Jennings is the Pastor of Philadelphia Baptist Church in Pauline, SC near Spartanburg.  He came to Philadelphia after pastoring churches in Easley, SC and Kentucky.  A native of Spartanburg, Josh also served several churches as youth minister while attending North Greenville College (BA, 1998), and served four summers on the McCall Royal Ambassador Camp Staff (1994-1997).  While in Kentucky He attended The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville where he earned a Master of Divinity degree in Biblical and Theological Studies (2002).

Josh enjoys encouraging, equiping, and empowering people to know Christ and make Him known.  His primary means in accomplishing this objective is through the expositional preaching of God’s word.  He also has a deep desire in his heart to lead Philadelphia and others to be on mission taking the gospel both accross the street and around the world.  His conviction is that Acts 1:8 is not merely a model for the modern church but the model for any church which longs to be faithful to the Lord in what He has called them to do.

Josh and his lovely wife Shannon were married in 1998, and now enjoy raising their three children: Caleb, Elijah, and Anna Grace.  Josh also enjoys the outdoors, reading, and eating at the Beacon Drive-In located in Spartanburg.
